Step #1 : testing the Arduino Uno board

Postby arduino4fun » Wed Jun 08, 2016 3:06 pm

After assembling, I suggest to test each element separately, I start with the well-know LED test but it's great to test the Arduino UNO board received before connecting all other sensors/shields, this would be stupid to assemble all with nothing working :

here is the sketch to test this led :

Code: Select all

// ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 // This sketch allows to check the Arduino UNO board thru a LED connected on pin #2

int ledpin=2; // Define the digital interface signal line 2 is connected to the LED

void setup()
 {
 pinMode(ledpin, OUTPUT);
 }

void loop()
 {
 digitalWrite(ledpin, HIGH); // Turn on the LED

delay(1000); // delay of one second

digitalWrite(ledpin, LOW); // Turn off the LED
 delay(1000); // delay of one second
 }
